Cursed Carnival has no account, no login, and collects no personal information that identifies you by name. Your game progress is saved locally on your device. The app shows advertising through a third-party ad provider, which may collect device and usage data to serve and measure ads: rewarded ads are always optional, and short interstitials may appear between runs. You control personalized advertising through the in-game consent prompt, the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt, and your advertising-identifier settings on iOS and Android.
Directly, in the app: none that identifies you personally. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or contacts. Game settings and progress are stored on your device and are not sent to us.
Through advertising (third parties): to display and measure ads, our ad partner's SDK may collect and process:
AD_ID permission for this; you can delete or reset it in Android settings);Gameplay analytics (on your device): the game records coarse gameplay events (a run started, the toll you reached, which card you picked, an ad was shown) to help us balance it. In this version those events never leave your device and contain no identifier that points back to you. If a future version sends them to an analytics provider, this policy will be updated first.
Purchases: optional in-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play Billing). We never see or store your payment details — only the store's confirmation that a product was bought.
We do not collect precise GPS location, contacts, photos, health data, or payment information. The app makes no other network calls of its own.
In the game (both platforms). The first time you tap a button that plays a rewarded ad, the game asks whether you accept personalized advertising (GDPR / CCPA), with a link to this policy. Your answer is stored on your device and replayed to the ad provider at every launch. If you decline, ads become non-personalized — they keep working, and you lose nothing in the game.
iOS — App Tracking Transparency. On that same first tap — we deliberately do not ask at launch — iOS asks whether the app may track you across other apps and websites. Decline and the provider does not use the IDFA for cross-app tracking. Change it anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Android — advertising ID. Android has no ATT prompt; the in-game consent choice above is what governs personalized ads. You can also delete or reset your advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads (wording varies by manufacturer), which stops advertisers from building a profile tied to your device.
Ads are delivered through Unity LevelPlay / ironSource (Unity Technologies), including its Ad Quality component, which uses the advertising identifier to detect advertising fraud. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policy:
We do not sell your personal data.
Cursed Carnival is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13. Its declared target audience on Google Play starts at 13 years old, and it is not part of the Google Play Families programme. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the ad SDK, contact us and we will help address it.
Progress data lives on your device and is removed when you delete the app or use the in-game "Erase progress" option. Data processed by the ad provider is retained under their policy. Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS). We use reasonable measures to protect data, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Because we hold no account and no server-side copy of your data, we cannot delete data on your behalf: uninstalling the app removes everything we could reach. To ask the ad provider about data it holds, use the contact channels in the Unity / ironSource policy above — write to us and we will help.
We may update this policy; the "Effective date" above will change accordingly. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
